The operating environment

The region spans open conflict and functioning markets. Sudan's war has displaced millions and made normal commercial operations impossible in much of the country. Somalia and parts of Ethiopia remain high threat. In Mozambique, the Cabo Delgado insurgency continues to shape security for the energy sector. Kenya, Djibouti and Angola are environments where risk is manageable with sound procedure.
